French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire will visit Athens next Monday, according to French newspaper Le Figaro. The French ministry has not yet confirmed the visit.
After the meetings with EU officials in Paris ahead of the Eurogroup meeting, Le Maire will visit Athens aiming at the success of the Eurogroup.
The French Economy Minister has already met Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem, IMF chief Christine Lagarde and his counterparts Wolfgang Schaeuble and Pier Carlo Padoan, Bruno Lemmertz.
As soon as he assumed office, Bruno Le Maire showed his determination to lead, if possible, in the resolution of the Greek problem, in harmonisation with the will of “progress in Europe” which President Emmanuel Macron has already expressed.
