Botsis Foundation presents 31st journalism awards

The Botsis Foundation on Wednesday presented the foundation's 31st journalism awards in a ceremony at the Old Parliament in Athens, attended by President of the Republic Karolos Papoulias. During the ceremony, the Botsis Foundation also presented an "Exceptional Honorary Distinction" to Papoulias for his "contribution to the political life of the country and his honourable service in the highest office of state".

Archaeologists discovered traces of faded images on the epistyles unearthed in Amphipolis

Traces of colouration and faded images on the architrave (epistyle) pieces, unearthed in the area where the mosaic floor was revealed by archaeologists at the Ancient Amphipolis excavation site, will become more visible after undergoing conservation and, therefore, announcements will become more specific, Culture Minister Konstantinos Tassoulas on Saturday said during a press conference at the Archaeological Museum of Amphipolis.

Huffington Post Greece presented at Acropolis Museum

Huffington Post Media Group President and Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington on Thursday presented the soon-to-launch "Huffington Post Greece" at an event in the Acropolis Museum in Athens, saying she was very moved to be bringing the news website to the country where she was born and "where my heart is".
